Who We Are

Kent Hilen is the founder and Managing Partner of Silverado Capital Advisors. Kent has over 30 years of experience straddling banking, corporate finance and commodities trading.

Kent spent over two decades with the BNP Paribas group, in a variety of management positions in Europe and North America. His responsibilities extended across structured finance, capital markets, investment banking and wealth management, and also included stints in key control functions such as credit risk and internal inspection. As a senior banker at the heart of BNP Paribas' commodities business, he oversaw capital allocation and strategic deal origination on a portfolio of companies that included several of the bank's largest clients.

Before establishing Silverado, Kent also headed up investment banking client coverage for ICBC Standard Bank, a global markets joint venture based in London and focused on physical commodities, securities trading and capital markets.

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Kent earned a degree in economics from the University of California at Davis.
